1.        Procedure for IP recovery

1. On the BSS GUI, close the connection between BSS and IP-Server program.(See the section )

2. Switch the COMMON TERMINAL to IP-Server PC (See the section ).

3. On the IP -Server PC, open a new X-terminal and issue "killaxis" command.

4. Shutdown the IP-Server PC by "halt" command.

5. After confirming the shutdown, turn off the main power of the PC.

6. Turn off the power of the CPU AS. That is a white box next to the PC.

7. Turn off the main power of R-AXIS in the experimental hutch.

8. Wait for 10 seconds, then turn on the R-AXIS power again.

9. Turn on the power of CPU AS.

10. Turn on the IP-Server PC power. Wait of the system boot up.

11. Login as "blmaster". The password is "osakana12".

12. Open a new X-terminal and issue "raxissrv" command.

13. On the BSS GUI, open the connection to IP-Server program.

 

2.        Procedure for CCD recovery

1. On the BSS GUI, close the connection to CCD-Server program.(See the section )

2. Switch the COMMON TERMINAL to CCD-Server PC (See the section ).

3. Shutdown the CCD-Server PC from the START button of the Windows tackbar.

4. Switch the COMMON TERMINAL to RECEIVER (See the section ).

5. Shutdown the RECEIVER PC from teh START button of the Windows taskbar.

6. Turn off the main power of the JUPITER210-Control BOX. That is a white box in the 19-inch rack, under the Chart Recorder. The switch is marked as MAINS POWER.

7. Wait for 10 seconds, then turn on the JUPITER210-Control BOX again.

8. Turn on the RECEIVER PC. Wait for the system boot up. On COMMON TERMINAL.

9. Login as the administrator if required. Password is not assigned (Just push the Enter key).

10. If a dialog for recovering the network-disk connection appears, enter password "osakana12" for recovering the samba connection.

11. Turn on the CCD-Server PC power.

12. Switch the COMMON TERMINAL to the CCD-Server PC.

13. Wait for the system boot up.

14. Login as administrator if required. Password is not assigned.

15. On the BSS GUI, open connection to the CCD-Server program.

     (See the section ).

 

3.        BSS server menu usage

1. Open the menu by BSS pulldown menu as Settings --> Servers.

2. Open or close the connection by pushing the buttons at right hand side of the Server name. It may takes more than 1 minute so that the connection is established.

 

4.        COMMON TERMINAL usage

The COMMON TERMINAL is connected and gives the integrated access to the CCD-Server PC, IP-Server PC, BL-WS, and RECEIVER via the MasterView switching box on the rack. The terminal can be switched to each PC by following procedures.

 

1. Push the Scroll-Lock key twice.

2. Select the PC by pushing tenkey (scroll keys).

3. Push Enter key.

4. Move the mouse if the screen is sleeping.
